Matte organdy is what keeps that contrast clean. A sheer cloth with a structure of its own and no shine to argue with the thread, so the pale flowers stay forward on the warm ground instead of being lost in a highlight. The hem flares a little and holds its own line rather than falling into one.
It is embroidered in Manila by the artisans we work beside, and on cloth this sheer the motif reads from both sides. Butterfly sleeves keep the movement easy.
