The Liway is cropped high, and its fronts meet only once, at the collarbone, before sweeping back toward the waist. What it leaves open matters as much as what it covers. Over a slip dress, a fitted top or a simple shell, it turns whatever is underneath into Filipiniana, and its lining lets it settle smoothly over each of them.

Peau de soie is a dense, smooth cloth with a soft, low luster. It has the hand of satin without the shine. It holds the terno sleeve upright from the shoulder, pleated where it meets the body, and keeps the curved fronts clean as you move.

On each front, a spray of flowers and scrolling vines is worked in two shades of beige, each held close to the cloth and to the other, with small sequins set through it to catch the light. Up close, the flowers separate from the ground. From across a room, they settle into a quiet texture, and the line of the bolero leads.

In a warm, pale beige that sits as easily with ivory and champagne as with deeper neutrals. Available in UK 6 to UK 22.
