The Jonas is embroidered tonally in beige, and in places the cloth beneath the thread has been cut away. Scrolls open into small windows of air at the neckline, along the hem and around each sleeve, so the pattern is drawn as much by what is missing as by what is stitched.

Through it all runs beadwork sewn by hand: beads tracing the scrolls, clear sequins set at the heart of each flower, and a fine beaded line along the neckline. Organza carries every piece of it without strain, taking the weight of the beads while keeping its own sheer, quiet sheen.

The terno sleeves rise from the shoulder in pressed pleats and end above the elbow in a cutwork scallop. The body is fitted through long seams to a scalloped hem at the hip. At the back, small sprays of flowers are scattered across the cloth, so the work continues all the way around.

Wear it with a dark skirt for evening, as here, or with something simpler on an ordinary afternoon. Available in UK 6 to UK 22.
